Text on print reads: This panorama captures a sea of gold as the top-ranked North Dakota State Bison take on the Georgia Southern Eagles in the battle for a coveted slot in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision title game. This evening’s “Gold Rush” game was the third meeting and the third thrilling victory for the Bison over the Eagles, with a final score of NDSU 23, Georgia Southern 20. The Bison’s on-field success has translated into impassioned fan support, attracting more than 100,000 fans a year and ranking NDSU in the top-10 nationally in the FCS. Fielding their first season in 1894, the Bison play their home games on the artificial turf of Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome.
