"It is in decent shape. There are surface scratches on the top, with a few holes that do not interfere with the performance of the machine, but nevertheless, there are a few. I think you can see them from one of the pictures. The platen has tape or other material stuck on it and is not clean. Someone could easily clean it, but when I bought it from Michael's (Arts & Craft Store, which closed in his area) originally, I asked the frame shop manager why they didn't clean it and she told me that it doesn't diminish the performance of the machine, so why clean it. Made sense to me. I paid $1800.00 for the tool and I intend to include a tack iron, two small rolls of the 3M film, and several oversize Bainbridge Fabric Mat boards with the deal"

Bienfang Vacuum Presses are designed to automatically control the four main variables of mounting: moisture, pressure temperature and time. This assures consistent results. There are two simple ways to operate the Vacuum Press: by setting each control individually or by using convenient programmed settings. Some settings are preset at the factory but you can also set your own programs for procedures you conduct repeatedly.
Platen temperature is maintained at +/- 2° F of the set temperature.
